Practice Cryptography!
Even with all of the cryptologic and cryptographic technology that has existed in the world for the past 60 years, we still don't really know what encryption is good for or how to use it -- or, more importantly, why it's important. Maybe it's time for people and coders to actually start practicing how to use it, like any other skill.Monday, April 17, 2006
Wow. Someone else has had the same thought...
Someone else has had the same thought as I have, that we should be practicing cryptography to see how it works and how best to use it. http://www.cryptool.org/ is a nearly-comprehensive Windows application that expresses how digital signatures work, how classic and modern cryptosystems work, how hybrid cryptosystems work, and some of the implementation flaws that are possible, and have happened.
